Description
The tradition has it that when Parameswara a Sumatran prince came there the place that presently is the town of Malacca was named Malacca. While under a tree known as a tree of Malacca, he watched the hunting hounds of his warrior challenged and swept through a little mouse deer into a river.
Personal Interpretation
As the origin of the Malacca, most the Malaysian knows that this is place were founded by Parameswara. It shows that how smart is the mouse deer to deal with the hunting dogs. With the name of the Malacca tree, the Malacca were named after this story. As for this we would know how strong Malacca City was during 1400. History was being told that Parameswara was really a great, wisdom ruler during that time.
